Jan. 10

Not a lot has changed overall for Zack today. This morning was challenging, as Zack is very frustrated at being in bed, hooked up to lots of things. They had lowered his sedation, and he tried multiple times to get out of bed, as well as remove some of the tubes. They had to raise the sedation a bit so he wouldn't tire out too much or cause damage with his combative actions. He was able to breath on his own for about 14 hours yesterday, which is twice as long as yesterday. The challenge now is to wean him off the sedatives as his lungs grown stronger.

  1. Glad to hear of Zack's progress. Dan too is making progress after his 15 hour surgery Friday. We all wish it could be faster but that is how the body heals, slowly and on a microscopic level. Bless God for even the little steps forward. And thank you Lord for the body of Christ that cares for its own! Love & prayers to the Irwin family
