Zack had a good day today. PT is working with him more every day, and he was more lucid than ever today. He and Mom were able to have a good conversation (they put the cap on the tube or whatever it is that allows him to talk), and he asked some questions and showed signs of being more aware of what is going on with himself and in general. Hopefully by now he's had supper--for the first time in almost 5 weeks. No solid food, but some applesauce and a thick milkshake were on the menu. I'm sure he'll be glad to have it! He sat in a chair for about an hour, which was exhausting for him, and was able to feed himself some ice chips. They are hoping to move him out of the ICU on Monday. We are hoping so too!
